ISRAEL IN THE
END DAYS

Israel
Herald of the Second Coming

Matthew 24 tells us that the Tribulation and the Second Coming presume the restoration of Israel and the capture of Jerusalem; otherwise, Matthew 24:15 must be interpreted figuratively rather than literally, an option that’s justified only if the context clearly and unmistakably calls for it. And, quite obviously, that’s not the case: Jesus has gone out of his way to frame most of Matthew 24 in very specific and concrete terms, using straightforward language, obviating any kind of figurative interpretation that ignores the material reality of either Israel or Jerusalem.
Clearly, then, the restoration of the state
of Israel and the capture of Jerusalem are
indispensable props on the stage God is
setting for both the Tribulation and the
Second Coming.
Still, most churches sleep on, by and large
unwilling to teach from the prophetic
scriptures, side-stepping the need to equip
believers for the very challenging times ahead.
